Kathmandu : Bangladesh U-14 has won the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship final defeating Nepal 1-0 at Nepali Army Sports Centre in Lagankhel. that was postponed following the devastating earthquake on April 25.
Marji Sopana of Bangaldesh U-14 scored the only goal of the match in the first half of the 16th minute, to take home the title.
Prime Minister KP Oli attended the programme as the chief guest. PM Oli will be distributing prizes to the winners and the runner ups at the venue.
Nepal and Bangladesh had defeated India and Iran respectively to fix their spots on the final. The final was scheduled for a 2:00pm kick off at the Dashrath Stadium on April 25 before it had to be called off due to the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that struck at 11:56am.
